Coffee Crusted Steak Recipe Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the ground coffee, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels and rub them with olive oil.
  3. Generously coat both sides of the steaks with the coffee spice mixture, pressing it into the meat.
  4. Let the steaks sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Preheat your grill or a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Cook the steaks to your desired level of doneness (about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, depending on thickness).
  7. Remove the steaks from the heat and let them rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.

  • 2 tablespoons coffee ground  (use a medium or dark roast for a richer flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
